Description

I have no problem with renaming a street, and certainly no problem with naming it after an Hispanic person who accomplished great things, (“Portland leaders launch fast-track renaming of César E. Chávez Boulevard,” May 26). My problem is that the community was forced into accepting this change without a vote. The city’s renamed streets get renamed without most of the community being involved.
