A recent op-ed described the safety risks our community faces from current industry operations in Northwest Portland’s Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, (“Opinion: Portland’s existential crisis needs bold leadership,” March 10). It outlines the facts: 90% of Oregon’s supply of flammable, combustible and toxic fuels and other products are stored and transported on unstable soil in northwest Portland.
