Regarding your endorsement of Christina Stephenson for labor commissioner: I regret that I did not make a forceful counter-argument to support my candidacy during the endorsement interview. While I’m qualified to be an effective commissioner, I’m a novice at political campaigning. But if elected, I would represent a return to stability. I have a longer and more meaningful history with many of the people who do the actual work at the Bureau of Labor and Industries. Commissioner Stephenson’s management style is an obstacle to BOLI’s success, and more of the same won’t make things better.
