Description
The restoration of the specialized 988 Lines for Life crisis-support pathway for LGBTQ+ Oregonians is welcome news, (“Hope is just a phone call away (again) for LGBTQ+ Oregonians in crisis,” Oct. 15). Everyone in crisis deserves an affirming voice on a lifeline. Yet this restoration is also a call to action: Oregon has the nation’s ninth-highest suicide rate.
