I fully empathize with the ambulatory challenges mentioned by the writer who had to navigate around the protest encampment outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Waterfront, (“Readers respond: ICE protest makes seniors uncomfortable,” Sept. 23). I hope he is as uncomfortable with the many challenges our country is facing under the authoritarian policies and practices being carried out by the administration of President Donald Trump.
