I was sorry to learn from a recent article that public transportation may become harder to access for those reliant on specific lines. ("TriMet to eliminate Portland-area bus routes, shorten MAX Green Line amid budget crisis,” Jan. 6). The piece made me reflect on the good the service provides to its riders, especially now in a time of rifts, suspicion and uncertainty.
