This is a hair-on-fire moment, (“Trump fires Bureau of Labor Statistics director after dismal employment report‚” Aug. 1). When our president fires an independent, non-partisan, Senate-confirmed commissioner for releasing a report whose numbers he didn’t like, our country is in a world of hurt.
