U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez tells of her recent miscarriage as she presses the House Appropriations Committee to adopt her amendment requiring the National Institutes of Health to study improvements in controlling miscarriage pain. It was adopted on a unanimous voice vote.

U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez disclosed during committee debate in Congress Tuesday that she and her husband recently lost a pregnancy after 11 weeks.
