🎉 Ribbon cuttings, connections, and a whole lot happening behind the scenes—for 46 years! 💙

It’s Chamber of Commerce Appreciation Day! This year marks 46 years since the Coos Bay and North Bend Chambers merged to form the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. We’re proud to carry that spirit of working together forward!

We love celebrating our local businesses, so today we’re sharing a little about the work that helps make those celebrations—and so much more—possible.

At the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, we:

🤝 Bring people together. Through Wednesday Business Connection, Business After Hours, and networking events, we help turn introductions into lasting business relationships.

📣 Help businesses get noticed. Ribbon cuttings, member spotlights, our website, community directory, newsletters, and social media put local businesses in front of our community.

🏡 Showcase what’s available locally. Our annual Home Show connects businesses with customers ready to explore ideas, services, and products for their homes.

🌱 Grow local leaders. Leadership Coos connects people with the industries, organizations, and opportunities that shape our region.

💼 Support business success. We connect members with resources, learning opportunities, and people who can help them take their next step.

🗣️ Make room for business voices. Our Legislative Action Team (LAT) helps connect the business community with elected officials and discussions about issues affecting our local economy.

🚗 Keep our region moving. Our Transportation Committee brings attention to transportation needs and projects that affect local businesses, residents, and regional connections.

🎓 Connect education and industry. We work with business, education, and workforce partners to help build opportunities right here at home.

🏆 Honor the people and businesses making a difference. Through our Heritage Awards and Citizen and Business of the Year recognition, we celebrate the dedication, service, and contributions that make our community stronger.

And that’s just a peek! From our Ambassadors to the Economic Outlook Forum and the work happening between events, there’s always something moving forward.

This work takes a community. To our members, sponsors, volunteers, Ambassadors, board, and committee members: thank you for showing up, sharing your time, and investing in our Bay Area. You help make it all happen! 💙

📸 Community connection in action! Pictured are Rosey, Jolene, and Brian from the Global Inn, who invited us to celebrate Dashain and made us feel like part of the family. Thank you for sharing such a special tradition with us!

In the neighborhood? Stop by and say hi! A little encouragement and a high five go a long way—we appreciate them more than you know. And if your appreciation happens to come with coffee, treats, or a little gift… well, we won’t argue! 😉☕🍪
