Description
CBPD release - Earlier last week, CBPD was notified that two homes, one on Crocker St. and another on a neighboring street in North Bend, had been struck by rifle rounds. Investigating officers determined that the rounds were likely fired from a significant distance away, potentially from the North Spit area outside city limits. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Although recreational shooting is allowed in many areas outside of city limits, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of abiding by firearm laws and practicing safe shooting. Safe shooting practices include knowing where you are shooting, identifying your target and what lies beyond it, and using an appropriate backstop. Never shoot toward or over water, roads, homes, or other areas where a round could endanger people or property.
