Volunteers must be willing to respond any time day or night, often in inclement weather and extreme conditions. Volunteers who graduate from SAR academy are certified with the Oregon State Sheriff’s Association. Volunteers receive training in medical care, orienteering, outdoor survival, and other important skills.
