Portland Fire guard Sarah Ashlee Barker hugs teammate Sug Sutton after her game-winner over the New York Liberty, 98-96, at Moda Center on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The ball danced on the rim, the buzzer sounded, and Sarah Ashlee Barker was swarmed by a mob of teammates screaming in elation. As she was finally able to get up, confetti fell around her as tears rolled down her face.
