SCINT case 2026-070 Following a month-long investigation into an illegal marijuana operation located at 91597 Newman Place, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon, SCINT applied for and was granted a search warrant demanding to search the property for evidence pertaining to (ORS 475C.349), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana or Hemp (ORS 475C.341/475C.337), and Unlawful Production of Marijuana (House Bill 3000, Section 41, 2021 Regular Session). On September 11th, 2026, this search warrant was executed by the Coos County Emergency Response Team. SCINT would like to thank all the members of the Emergency Response Team for the safe and successful execution of this search warrant. SCINT would also like to thank the community who reported this illegal operation as it led to this successful investigation. SCINT found that the location was equipped for a commercial marijuana operation with hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment. This unlicensed operation was also found to be in operating for several years within Coos County. SCINT located and seized about 180 pounds of processed marijuana, lysergic acid diethylamide “LSD”, and psylocibin mushrooms. SCINT believes that the 180 pounds of marijuana was to be transported and sold in a state where marijuana is still illegal making the total street value around $270,000.00. SCINT remains dedicated to eradicating all illegal marijuana operations within Coos County as they effect the legal market and illegal marijuana operations are not kept to the same standards as legal operations. These illegal operations are also not paying for the permits required nor will they report the proceeds made off of the produced marijuana.
