South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team release - "SCINT", announces a new addition to the team.  SCINT is proud to introduce Tex to Coos County. Tex is an energetic 11-month-old Belgian Malinois.  Tex only focus is as a detection K9. Tex has completed vigorous training and has certified through Oregon Police Canine Association (OPCA) and International Police Canine Association (IPCA) for drug detection.  Tex is handled by Parole and Probation Officer McKenzie Davis (same handler as Katie). Tex has recently had his first find at a search warrant, however due to schedules we were not able to get a good picture of Tex with his find.  Tex is very friendly and will stick around for the attention, but when it is time to work, he is very focused with a big drive.  As a side note, Katie is happy in retirement!
