The North Medford Black Tornado played against the Sherwood Bowmen in the 2025 OSAA 6A Softball State Championships on Saturday June 7, 2025 at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. The Bowmen went on to win 10-6 over the Black Tornado to become the 6A state champions.

EUGENE—Sherwood softball has been in the mix for the state championship for years. And year after year, the Bowmen saw early exits in the state tournament. They just couldn’t get over the hump and get to the state championship.
