Excerpt from City Administrator's report to the City Council - Highway 101 at Newmark Storm System:  Legal representatives for the City and the Oregon Department of Transportation have reviewed potential regulatory authority over the Highway 101 at Newmark storm system. City staff will meet with the department during the week of February 16 to identify a mutually beneficial long-term solution. The City’s position is that, regardless of ownership, the system does not serve a City purpose and abandonment would be the preferred option.
