Description
City of North Bend report - Highway 101 at Newmark – Staff continue to work with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) regarding a sinkhole located over a broken storm mainline. The City has no record of owning this system, which appears to be part of an old Weyerhaeuser (now Ko-Kwel property) and highway drainage network dating back before 1953. While the estimated repair cost is about $35,000, replacing the entire system could cost approximately $1.3 million. The City maintains that this system is not part of its infrastructure.
