Rotary Pavillion

When a small Rotary club digs in, the impact is anything but small.

On Saturday, May 3rd, members of the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove—though few in number—made a big difference in their community once again. Their project? Giving the beloved Rotary Pavilion in Coiner Park a much-needed refresh.

Led by Dana Merryday, the club’s Community Service Crew came together to power through the cleanup with elbow grease, paint brushes, and pride. Volunteers included Larry Bottemiller, Linda and Bill Oxley, Joe and Lynn Raade, Tyson Woodard, and Karol Kuhn Simons. Thanks also to Remco Gutters for providing a sturdy downspout that’s still standing strong!

The Pavilion itself is a legacy of collaboration, originally made possible by past Rotary members, the Cottage Grove Community Foundation, and the City of Cottage Grove. It’s now a cherished space where families gather, children play, and community comes to life.

Look What a Small Club Can Do!
Even as the Cottage Grove club navigates its future, one thing is clear: their heart for service is unwavering. This project is just the latest in a long list of efforts that prove small Rotary club impact is real—and powerful.

More photos of the project day will be posted soon on the club’s Facebook page. Let their example lift and inspire us all.

You haven’t peaked yet, Cottage Grove.
