Description

On Wednesday at 12:49 p.m. the National Weather Service released a beach hazards statement valid from Friday 4 a.m. until Sunday 10 p.m. for Clatsop County Coast, Tillamook County Coast and Central Coast of Oregon.

“Sneaker waves possible,” explains the weather service. “Caution should be used when in or near the water, especially those who will be razor clamming. Keep children and pets away from the surf zone. Keep off of jetties, rocks and logs near the surf zone. If you see someone swept into the sea do not swim in after them. Call 911 and keep an eye on them until help arrives.”
