Lines in the Ashland house reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright's work were made by one of Wright's apprentices, Donald Fairweather. Conversations during the open house centered on the architecture, materials, views and feeling of the home, said co-listing broker Eric Poole of Full Circle Real Estate. Vertical-grain redwood walls reflect the forested background. The kitchen with new appliances and counters connects to the dining area and family room. Architect Donald Fairweather’s residence built in 1959 on 0.58 acres at 155 Terrace St. in Ashland is for sale by Mark Philhower and Eric Poole of Full Circle Real Estate. There are two primary suites, each with an updated bathroom, on opposite ends of the home. Donald Fairweather designed the 1959 house, his first residential commission, for Bill and Peg Sammons. The Sammons family sold the home to Fairweather in 2019. The two bathrooms and one powder room have been updated. “At both the Realtor tour and the public open house, we had multiple people tell us that this was their favorite home they had ever visited in Ashland,” said broker Eric Poole, who shares the listing with broker Mark Philhower, both with Full Circle Real Estate. The Fairweather residence on a sloped, 0.58-acre lot at 155 Terrace St. was listed May 26 at $950,000. An offer was accepted June 3, and a sale is pending.
