Sutherlin Rotary: Early Morning Energy, Massive Impact
District Governor Chris Waugh visited the Sutherlin Rotary Club on Thursday, February 19th—at 7 am! Despite the early hour, he found a light-filled meeting space proudly branded with Rotary and large enough to stage their annual auction donations.
The club smartly prioritizes youth—they started with FFA student reports so kids could get to school. 60% of the freshman class participates in FFA, building public speaking and parliamentary procedure skills.
Now, here's the jaw-dropper: this 32-member club raises over $100,000 annually for scholarships through their fundraiser! Want to know their secret? They're facilitating a breakout session at the District Conference in May. Don't miss it!
Post-meeting, Governor Waugh helped club leaders enter goals into MyRotary. They're well on their way to meeting their membership target.
Then AG Scott Hendy (a Wildlife Safari veterinarian) treated the Governor to a private tour, offering unique behind-the-scenes insights. Only in Rotary!
