Multnomah County Commissioner Vince Jones-Dixon stands on the Stark Street Bridge in Troutdale. Jones-Dixon and county staff unveiled a plan to curb traffic injuries and deaths on county streets east of Portland.

On average, 58 people are severely injured or killed on east Multnomah County roads every year, a new report shows. County officials, who maintain a portion of the streets east of Portland, have a new plan that aims to drive that number down to zero.
