UO release - BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Oregon women's track and field team closed out their week in Texas by collecting six national qualifiers on day four of the NCAA West First Round. Among the national qualifiers, Aaliyah McCormick and Silan Ayyildiz registered top-10 program marks in the 100 hurdles and 1500 meters, respectively.  Coupled with Saturday's results, the Ducks will have 17 entries—eight men, nine women—at the NCAA Championships (June 11-14) at Hayward Field. Tickets for the national meet in Eugene are currently on sale.  NCAA Championships women's qualifiers:  Silan Ayyildiz – 1500 meters; Mia Barnett – 1500 meters; Diana Cherotich – 10,000 meters (from Thursday); Emily Fitzsimmons – pole vault (from Thursday); Klaudia Kazimierska – 1500 meters; Aaliyah McCormick – 100m hurdles; Ryann Porter – triple jump; Annika Williams – heptathlon; Shaniya Hall, Lily Jones, Brazil Neal, Amirah Shaheed – 4x100m relay.  McCormick continued her stellar postseason Saturday with a lifetime best of 12.74 as the top overall qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles. With that performance, she moves to No. 2 on the Oregon top-10 list and posted the second-fastest time in the country this season. McCormick advances to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in her career.  McCormick, the Big Ten indoor and outdoor champion, was the NCAA indoor runner-up (60H) earlier this year.  The Ducks advanced three into the national field of the women's 1500 meters with the trio of Ayyildiz, Klaudia Kazimierska and Mia Barnett. All three finished in the top five of their respective heats to collect automatic placement into the NCAA Championships. Kazimierska clocked in at 4:06.53 followed closely by Ayyildiz in 4:06.61, a new personal best that moves her to No. 4 on the all-time UO list.  Kazimierska and Barnett—4:10.88 in heat one—both qualified for the 1500 meters last season for the Ducks. Barnett will be making her third appearance at the NCAA Outdoor meet. Ayyildiz was a qualifier at 5,000 meters a season ago.  In the most nail-biting qualifying effort, Ryann Porter sat in 16th place entering her final attempt in the triple jump. She had the last jump of the competition and responded with a day's best of 13.42/44-0.5 to move into 12th place, the final spot to earn an NCAA spot. Porter and Diarra Sow of Minnesota both finished with the same measure but the UO senior had a better second mark—13.23m to 12.65m—to get the nod.  Porter will be making her fourth appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, and first as a Duck. She previously qualified in 2021-23 while at Indiana State.  In the first race of the day, the 4x100 team of Shaniya Hall, Lily Jones, Brazil Neal and Amirah Shaheed passed the baton around the track in 43.89 to secure its ticket to the national meet. The Ducks finished third in their heat and 12th overall. Saturday's time is just .02 off their season best from the Desert Heat Classic. Hall and Jones were part of last year's relay that finished eighth at the NCAA Championships.
