County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson proposed axing nine of the 92 after-school sites the county funds as it works to shore up budget shortfalls.

As Multnomah County prepares for another round of belt tightening, multiple free after-school programs are on the chopping block, including one site that serves some students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
