Moving to the United States allowed her the opportunity to pursue her music dreams.Nava Ulacio started playing the guitar at five years old.In Venezuela, Nava Ulacio planned to be a civil engineer. Sofia Nava Ulacio didn’t speak English when she walked through the doors of Aloha High School on the first day of her senior year. Her family had arrived in Oregon less than a month earlier, fleeing political unrest in their home country of Venezuela.
