Neil Kelly designer Tawni Peterson redesigned a dark and dated kitchen into one that is bright, airy and customized to the home chef.Peterson expanded the kitchen by removing a wall, vaulting the ceiling and creating a west-facing wall with large windows and a glass door drawing in natural light and framing the backyard garden.Daltile blue tiles were installed from the cooktop to the vent hood.A pass through allows a person mixing drinks in the prep kitchen-beverage bar to hand drinks off to guests mingling in the breakfast nook.The sliding wood door can be closed to the prep kitchen before company arrives.Decor Cabinets were installed with Top Knobs hardware.A pink sign reads “happy faces many places,” a common saying among the couple who explore new parts of the world.Neil Kelly designer Tawni Peterson redesigned a dark and dated kitchen into one that is bright, airy and customized to the home chef.Before: The kitchen had a low ceiling and no personality.Before: The kitchen had a low ceiling and no personality.
