Description

Humans have always turned to music to help us chronicle our often troubled times. Whether evoking personal or social stories, music can move us beyond facts and figures, dates and events, and reveal what history felt like, not just what happened. Many of this spring’s classical music performances, even those without words, tell our stories of repression, resistance and resilience through sound, reflecting how it felt to be human through tough times past, present, and even future. Some even glimpse light amid the darkness.
