Description
Tillamook School District 9 informed parents and staff late on Wednesday that classes had been canceled for Thursday due to threats “circulating on social media and through phone calls.”
The small school district and law enforcement on the Oregon coast had not determined whether the threats were credible, the district’s interim superintendent, Jennifer Guarcello, wrote in a letter that was published on the school’s Facebook page. She said they had decided to shutter classes for the day “out of an abundance of caution” and to give detectives time to reach conclusions.
