Throwback Thursday: On the night of January 1, 1987, the Tualatin Police Department officially became its own agency with just twelve dedicated members serving the community. What began as a small team with a big commitment has grown into a professional department focused on safety, service, and community partnership. For nearly four decades, Tualatin officers and staff have worked tirelessly to protect and support our residents, businesses, and visitors. From those original twelve members to the department we know today, the mission has remained the same: serving Tualatin with integrity, professionalism, and pride.
