Description

Former Intel President Renée James left the chipmaker and founded Ampere Computing, which sold in 2025 for $6.5 billion. Her new, venture, Oregon-based Rule 42, aims to bring sports recruiting into the 21st Century.

Two of Oregon’s most accomplished semiconductor executives are stepping back into the batter’s box, leaving Big Tech behind to launch a startup that aims to incorporate technology into the recruiting process for high-school athletes.
