Erin Holcomb, Interim Executive Director of Portland Rescue Mission (left), interviews Krystal Perez, Community Life Pastor at Shepherd’s Door. Holcomb interviewed staff, volunteers, program alumni and community members for most of 24 hours during the “Conversations on a Bench ” livestream. “I appreciate the humble leadership of our team,” one worker wrote in the survey. “They lead by serving.”

This year’s Top Workplaces competition included special citations for three leaders and 12 workplaces. The awards reflect standout scores for employee agreement with attributes surveyed by Energage, the Oregonian/OregonLive’s research partner.
