The Thurston wrestling team holds up the Class 5A wrestling team trophy at the conclusion of the OSAA wrestling state championship tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

It would have been easy to think Crater was going to run Class 5A coming into Oregon’s 2025-26 high school wrestling season.
