ODOT release - SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Astoria City Hall, 1095 Duane Street. The meeting will have a virtual option; a livestream is available on our ODOT YouTube channel. On Wednesday, Oct. 7, commissioners and invited guests will meet at 1 p.m. for a transportation tour in Astoria. Following the tour, the formal meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday’s agenda items include: Northwest ACT Update: Receive an update on the Northwest Oregon Area Commission on Transportation’s 2024-2026 Work Plan. ADA Curb Ramp Delivery Program Update: Receive an update on the progress of the ADA Curb Ramp Delivery Program and the 2026 Funding Plan. Interstate Bridge Replacement Program Update: Receive an informational update on the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, including an update on federal grants and the procurement process for the Columbia River Bridge Replacement package and Pre-Completion Tolling Infrastructure package. Maintenance Prep/Response/Recovery for Wildfire and Severe Storms: Receive an informational update on work conducted by ODOT maintenance crews to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergency events such as wildfires and severe storms. The meeting will reconvene on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Thursday’s agenda items include: Rose Quarter Project Update and Construction Authorization Increase: Approve an increase in authorization for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project from $18.8 million to $21.8 million and I-5 Rose Quarter: Phase 1A from $75 million to $93 million for a total increase of $21 million. The increase will be paid for with House Bill 2017 Urban Mobility Strategy funding and is in alignment with the approved May 2026 STIP amendment. I-205 Abernethy Bridge Project: Receive a monthly informational update on the I-205: I-5 to OR 213, Phase 1A (Abernethy Bridge) Project, including an update on the Soil Stabilization Estimates refinement work. S. 101 Gold Beach Bridge: Approve amending the 2024-2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to add $7 million to the construction phase of the U.S. 101 Gold Beach Bridge project, using savings from HB2017 Bridge Seismic funding. Major Projects Stage Gate Framework: Receive an update and provide feedback on ODOT’s proposed framework for advancing major projects. Connect Oregon Grant Update: Receive an update on the Connect Oregon grant program. Transportation Safety Action Plan Requested Adoption: Discuss public comment on the draft 2026 Transportation Safety Action Plan and request adoption. Budget Update: Receive an informational update on ODOT’s budget. The full meeting agenda and materials are available on the OTC Website.
