Description

Housing support available through the federal government provides homes for 2,300 formerly homeless people in Multnomah County. This newly furnished bedroom is pictured in the week after a woman with a terminal illness was able to move into it with the help of rent assistance through a different rent assistance program.

Federal money that covers housing for about 2,300 formerly homeless people in Multnomah County would be at risk under new rules introduced by the Trump administration last month, county officials said this week.
