UO release - EUGENE, Ore. – Addison Amaral, a two-time all-ACC and NFCA all-region infielder at Notre Dame, is transferring to Oregon, coach Melyssa Lombardi announced Friday. She will be a junior in 2026. Amaral led the Fighting Irish in hitting (.365), home runs (nine) and RBI (43) in 2025. In two seasons at Notre Dame, she hit .352 with 26 doubles, 19 home runs and 96 RBI with a .616 slugging percentage. She started all 108 games for the Fighting Irish over the last two seasons. Originally from Salinas, Calif., Amaral was a first team All-State selection as a senior at Notre Dame High School. She was named Monterey County Player of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year after leading Notre Dame High to the CCS championship. "Addi is a very impressive athlete," said Lombardi. "I like her range up the middle and her ability to make the 50-50 plays look easy. "Addi is a proven hitter from one of the premier conferences in our sport. I love her leadership on the field and her enthusiasm for playing the game. She will be an excellent fit for us. I look forward to watching her finish her career as a Duck."
