***UPDATE***ANIMAL NEGLECT*** Case #: S2026-00454 North Bend Ore - Recently, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release of an animal abuse case being investigated by Deputy Starr. The public provided several leads, leading to a search warrant conducted at a residence on Wall Ave in the City of North Bend on the evening of March 27, 2026. As a result, Gary L. Carson (39) from North Bend was arrested on the charges of Animal Abuse I and Felon in Possession of a Firearm stemming from the investigation in this case. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance and commend Deputy Starr on an exemplary investigation. “Police action is not indicative of guilt.
