Fireworks are not allowed in state parks, on beaches, or on state and federal forest lands, and some areas have local restrictions, so always check before you celebrate. Using illegal fireworks is a crime. They can be seized, and misuse can bring fines of up to $2,500, plus responsibility for the cost of any fire they cause.
