Even if you drop a letter into a U.S. Postal Service mail collection box before the listed pick-up time for the day, it may not be postmarked that same day, USPS says. (File photo)

The U.S. Postal Service is warning its customers in Oregon and across the nation that their mail may no longer be postmarked the day they drop it in a mailbox or at their local post office.
