Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs increased the burial allowance for the families of veterans whose deaths were not service-connected.

The family of a veteran who dies on or after Oct. 1 can receive a $1,032 burial allowance and a $1,032 plot or interment allowance if the death is not service-connected.
