Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs on Feb. 17, 2026, ended a policy that prohibits former service members from owning guns if they were deemed to need help managing their finances.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is making available $29 million to assist homeless veterans and those veterans enrolled in a housing program jointly run with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
