Vancouver police arrested a 17-year-old early Saturday morning after he turned himself in for an alleged hit-and-run that injured a man and three young children the previous day.

The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Southeast 136th Avenue and Southeast 7th Street, the Vancouver Police Department said in a statement. A 40-year-old man who was injured in the crash has been hospitalized and is in critical condition, the department said. Three children aged 10, 7 and 6 suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
