CCSO release - Date/Time: August 26th, 2026 / 7:09 p.m.; Case #: S2026-01356; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Hwy 101 MP 254; Suspect(s): Zosel, Lawrence R. (50); Summary: On August 26, 2026, at 7:09 p.m., the North Coos Dispatch Center received a 911 call about a man lying on the fog line of U.S. Hwy 101 near milepost 254. A Deputy advised they were in the area and responded to check on the subject. The man was identified as Lawrence R. Zosel (50). Mr. Zosel was uninjured and just taking a nap. A record check revealed he had an outstanding warrant out of Douglas County. The warrant was confirmed, and Mr. Zosel was transported to the Coos County Jail on the outstanding warrant.

CCSO release - Date/Time: August 24th 2026 / 10:34 a.m.; Case #: S2026-01344; Classification: Warrant Service x2; Location: Seven Devils / Salal Road; Suspect(s): Dusty L. Setzer (40) / Jimmie E. Rozier (45); Summary: On Friday, August 24, 2026, at 10:34 a.m., a Coos County Deputy was patrolling the Coos County Roads Department's construction site on Seven Devils Road near Salal Road, in Coos County, Oregon. The Deputy observed a gray F-150 driving at a high rate of speed through the construction zone, which had a temporary speed posted inside the work zone of 15 mph. As the Deputy began to turn around to follow the vehicle, the vehicle sped up and quickly turned into a private driveway. The Deputy activated his emergency lights and followed the vehicle into the private driveway, where he contacted the driver and the vehicle's other occupants. The Deputy asked the occupants of the vehicle if they lived at the location, and they stated they did not. The driver of the vehicle was issued multiple violation citations, while the two passengers of the vehicle, Dusty L. Setzer (40) and Jimmie Rozier (45), were both placed under arrest for active confirmed warrants out of Coos County, Oregon, and transported to the Coos County Jail. All occupants of the vehicle were warned for criminal trespass.
