Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown accused Albertsons Cos. Inc., which also operates Safeway stores, of systematically overcharging customers by inflating prices ahead of buy one, get one offers.

Washington state on Monday sued Albertsons over allegations it has been overcharging customers for years via buy-one-get-one free offers.
