Description
The Portland Timbers close the MLS regular season tonight at Austin FC with a spot in the MLS Playoffs on the line. Six Western Conference teams are fighting for the final three playoff spots, and Portland (12-7-14) sits eighth with 43 points, tied with Colorado and Seattle. A win would clinch a third straight playoff berth in coach Martí Cifuentes’ first season, and the Timbers could still climb to seventh and skip the Wild Card round. The kickoff takes place Saturday, November 7, at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) and is streaming live on Apple TV (free trial).
