The National Weather Service released a special weather statement at 6:52 a.m. on Friday until 10 a.m. for Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
"Moderate to locally heavy snowfall is falling across the northern Blue Mountains, including over I-84 and OR 204. An additional 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is anticipated before snow tapers off by mid-morning," states the weather service.
