Description
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday for dense fog until 8:30 a.m. for Tualatin Valley and Inner Portland Metro.
"Dense fog has formed within the Greater Portland-Vancouver Metro area including Portland, Hillsboro, Vancouver, and outlying rural areas. The Lower I-5 Corridor is also experiencing dense fog. Expect visibility of one half mile or less and note that it may become patchy at times thus catching people off guard. Dissipation will begin as the sun rises, but some areas may experience fog lingering longer. If commuting through any fog this morning, make sure to slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between you and other vehicles. Wear bright and reflective clothing if walking outside this morning," states the weather service.
