On Thursday at 6:53 a.m. the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 10 a.m. for Central Oregon.
"Dense fog of less than one quarter of a mile will prevail on US-97 between Redmond and Bend through the morning. Visibilities could be reduced along other portions of US-97. Motorist should prepare for quick visibility changes through the night and practice safe driving habits. Leave extra space in front of you and use headlights," says the weather service.
