Please join us in welcoming Justin Gaston, our new Head Varsity Football Coach at Reedsport Community Charter School!
Coach Gaston brings an impressive football background and a championship mindset to our program. As a player, he was a State Champion and 1st Team All-State selection, playing tailback, safety, kicker, and punter. In the state championship game, he kicked a 40-yard field goal to secure the victory! He also held the IHSAA Idaho 8-man classification state record for longest field goal from 1999.
But Coach Gaston’s vision goes far beyond wins and records. His goal is to build a football program that students enjoy being a part of—one where they look forward to the adventures, challenges, and time they share together.
“I want them to look forward to all the adventures and every day we have together. Teaching them to have integrity in life as we learn and grow together on and off the field. Proudly representing Reedsport Charter School and the people of the community.”
🏈 Meet Our Assistant Football Coach: Oaren Wraye! 🏈
We are excited to introduce Oaren Wraye, one of our new assistant football coaches at Reedsport Community Charter School!
Coach Wraye has loved football his entire life and grew up inspired by some of the greatest players in the game, including Jerry Rice, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, and many more.
His love of football and strategy led him to participate in a variety of sports, including football, rugby, swimming, weight training, sprinting, and martial arts. His passion for competition, strategy, and teamwork has continued throughout his life.
Coach Wraye also brings a strong background in community service and leadership. After moving to Oregon, he served with Siuslaw Valley Fire Rescue as both a structure and wildland firefighter. His years as a first responder in security, EMS, and firefighting gave him a deep appreciation for the people and communities of Oregon and the importance of neighbors coming together to serve one another.
After stepping away from his first-responder career to spend more time with his wife, Cheyenne, and their two daughters, Oaren returned to another longtime passion—computers—while continuing to look for an opportunity to get back into coaching.
That opportunity came through Coach Justin Gaston, and we are so fortunate it led him to Reedsport!
