Adventist Health Portland in Southeast Portland on Jan. 8, 2026.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security remained largely silent on the details of the Thursday shooting during a traffic stop near Southeast Portland’s Adventist Health hospital, providing only the names of the people shot and alleging that they had tried to use their car against officers.
