A California utility company may cut power to up to 14,000 customers across 11 counties this weekend due to a high wildfire risk from strong winds and dry conditions.(AP Photo/Noah Berger)

As many as 14,000 Northern California residents could lose electricity this weekend as PG&E weighs planned power shutoffs to prevent wildfires.
